Obituary for Martha Anne Augustine (Grim)
Martha Anne (Grim) Augustine, 80, of Wellsburg, WV, passed peacefully at 5:47 AM on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH.
Martha was born on April 30, 1935 in Crabapple, PA. She was the daughter of the late George L. and Fern (Barnhart) Grim.
Martha was a member of the Beech Bottom Community Christian Church, Beech Bottom, WV. Many will remember Martha for her work at Valley Haven Geriatric Center, Beech Bottom, WV as the cook and dietary aide.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn E. Augustine, daughter, Barbara McGowan, a brother, George Grim, and a sister, Carole Burkett.
Martha is survived by her two children, Robert P. Augustine and his companion, Gwen, of Maryville, TN and Jennifer Chivers and her husband, Scott, of Wellsburg, WV, a son-in-law, Daniel L. McGowan, Jr., five grandchildren, Samuel Augustine, Daniel, Brian, and Caitlin McGowan, and Adam Chivers and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV. Funeral arrangements are under the direction and care of the Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main Street, Wellsburg, WV (304) 737-3551.
