Obituary for William Malinoski

William “Ski” Malinoski, 73, of Follansbee, WV, peacefully passed away at 11:22 AM on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at his residence.

William was born on December 8, 1942 in Baltimore, MD. He was the son of the late James and Anna (Harzarik) Malinoski.

William served as a SP4(T) in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in the intelligence affairs. William proudly worked for 40 years in the IBEW Local 246, Steubenville, OH and Local 24, Baltimore, MD being fully vested in both.

Many will remember “Ski” for his dedication to his electrical work, a passion for his garden, and love of his family.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Piccirillo, and a nephew, Michael Piccirillo.

William is survived by his wife of 38 years, Margaret (Mitchell) Malinoski of Follansbee, WV, two sons,Wayne Malinoski of Follansbee, WV and E. Andy (Susan) Malinoski of Charleston, WV, three grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, and Matthew, a brother, Charles (Sandy) Malinoski of Baltimore, MD, a brother-in-law, Harold Mitchell, two sisters-in-law, Mildred Mitchell and Sandra (James Sr.) Shorts, a niece, Michelle Hose and great niece Kirstin Hose.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 10:00 until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at James Funeral Home, 1245 Main Street, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717 with Reverend Phil Van Dam, officiating.

Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Colliers, WV, with military honors by the WV Army National Guard and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
