Obituary for Trudell Grace "Toots" Tennant (Ohler)

Trudell Grace “Toots” (Ohler) Tennant, 78 of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at 4:20 AM on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV.

Toots was born on February 4, 1938 in Gray, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Harry F. Ohler and Helen (Nead) Ohler Henry.

Toots was a member of the Church of Christ, Washington Pike, Wellsburg, WV. She enjoyed so much in life including playing cards, camping, but most of all she loved every minute of every day she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Toots was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Tennant, step-father, Henry, daughter-in-law, Debbie Colvin, three brothers, Richard, David and Bob Ohler, three sisters, Janet Sopish, Ruth Smith, and Jean Lisbon, and a sister-in-law, Joann Ohler.

Toots is survived by her two caring children, Cathy Johnston and her husband, Daniel of Wellsburg, WV, Les Tennant of Beech Bottom, WV, two loving grandchildren, Michael Johnston and his wife, Heather, and Rebecca Johnston, five adorable great grandchildren, Ava Hunter, Gavin Johnston, William Hunter, Colton Johnston, and Jase Johnston, three brothers, Les Ohler and his wife, Josephine “Fizzer”, Glenn Ohler and his wife, Loraine, and Jim Ohler, all of Wellsburg, WV, and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Toots’ wishes, a private viewing and service was held under the direction and care of the Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main Street, Wellsburg, WV with Minister Jarred Currence, officiating.

Interment was held at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV, next to her dear husband.
