Obituary for Arnold R "Ky" Moore

Arnold “KY” R. Moore, 84, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at 1:51 PM on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at his residence.

Arnold was born on May 29, 1931 in Wayland, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Noah and Elie (Stewart) Moore.

He retired as a supervisor from Koppers Company in 1988. Arnold was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose 1564 and the Christian Life Apostolic Church, Beech Bottom, WV. Many will remember Ky for enjoying hunting, make yarn yard chairs, but most of all for being a wonderful husband, dad, grand pap, great grand pap, and a brother.

In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Edsel Moore.

Arnold is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia “Pat” A. (McGowan) Moore of Wellsburg, WV, two children, Gregory (Barbara) Moore of Midwest City, OK and Cathy A. Moore of Wellsburg, WV, four grandchildren, Monica Marcinek, Connie Renee (Jess) Coppinger, and twins, Corey S. and Travis R. (Lauren) Moore, three great grandchildren, Nicholas and Benjamin Timme and Axel Moore, all of Oklahoma, three sisters, Artie McMillian of Oklahoma, Florence (Harold) Lindamood of Canton, OH and Donna (Kenny) Butler of Wellsburg, WV, two brothers, James E. Moore of Ohio and Larry (Linda) Moore of South Carolina, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 12 Noon until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main Street, Wellsburg, WV (304) 737-355, with Pastor Larry Wallbrown, Officiating.

Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV.

The family would like to thank the outstanding and never ending care of Amedisys Hospice during KY's final days.
