Obituary for David Michael Gregorski

David Michael Gregorski, 65, a lifelong resident of Burgettstown, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH, after waging a valiant battle with cancer.

David was born on August 25, 1950 in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of the late Alex Michael Gregorski and Marcella (Doutre) Gregorski.

David was a 1968 graduate of Burgesttstown High School. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, working in many departments including pollution control and crane operating. David was an active and loyal member of his community serving with the Eldersville Volunteer Fire Department, the Pennsylvania Game Commission as a Deputy, and many other community endeavors.

Many will remember David for his prowling Civil War auction, flea markets and battlefield re-enactments, enjoying the simple things in life, and getting in his truck and going anywhere. David had many other interests including wood working and animal rescue and rehabilitation. He loved to talk and socialize with anyone.

David is survived by wife for 44 years, Kathy (Rossi) Gregorski; a sister, Diane Young and her husband, Nevin; a niece, Patricia Young; a mother-in-law, Gladys Ford; an aunt, Louise Drenik; an uncle, Matthew Gregorski; a brother-in-law and his family and many friends. Everyone who crossed his path knew him as Dave, honest, positive, and loyal. He lived his life well and will be greatly missed by many.

A gathering of family and friend will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 4:30 PM until time of Liturgy of the Word at 5:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, 1245 Main Street, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717, with Father Thomas R. Gallagher, presiding, followed by Bluegrass Music and a tribute of a dear friend.

Interment will be held privately at Bethel Ridge Cemetery, Eldersville, PA.
