Obituary for Colleen Hall (Withers)

Colleen (Withers) Hall, 80, of Wellsburg, passed away at 9:52 PM on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Wheeling Medical Park Hospital.

Colleen was born on October 15, 1935 in McKinleyville, WV. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Elizabeth Marie (Law) Ward.

Colleen retired from Eagle Manufacturing Company where she worked as a press operator. She was a member of Henderson Chapel, AME. She loved everyone she met, and would light up at the sight of others smiling.

In addition to her parents, Colleen was preceded in death by her husband, William “Jimmy” Hall, a sister, Jacqueline “Jackie” Brown, a brother, Johnny Withers; two daughters, Celeste Hall and Elizabeth “Pookie” Withers-Fair, and a grand-daughter Megan Renee Withers.

Colleen is survived by her four sons, James “Chad” Hall, Ronald “Wiz” Withers, Charles “Chop,” Withers, all of Wellsburg, and William “Hookie” Withers, Sr. of Weirton; and three daughters, Eileen and Alesia “Lisa” Withers, both of Steubenville, and Beverly Hall-Lee of Westerville, Ohio; 27 grandchildren; 44 great- grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, a dear friend, Pete Marciniack, and her faithful companion, Sloop Dog. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and friends to cherish her memory.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 10:00 until time of Homegoing Service at 11:00 AM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV, with her cousin, Reverend Shawn Burns of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, Weirton, WV, will officiate.

Entombment will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Garden, in Follansbee, WV.
