Obituary for Carole Lantz (Allsopp)

Carole (Allsopp) Lantz, 80, of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 5:05 PM on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV.

Carole was born on January 15, 1936 in Steubenville, OH. She was the daughter of the late Leonard Henry and Blanche (Fickes) Allsopp.

Carole was a member of the Follansbee United Methodist Church. She graduated from Follansbee High School in 1953 and went on to graduate from Jefferson Technical College and the former West Liberty State College with a Bachelor degree. Carole worked as a Medical Technologist for 10 years at Weirton Medical Center.

In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her a brother, Leonard Allsopp.

Carole is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 62 years, Emmett Lantz, a son, Richard Lantz, both of Follansbee, WV, a daughter, Karen (Michael) Fierbaugh of Bowerston, OH, two grandchildren, Jeremiah (Mary Sue) and Luke (Tabitha) Fierbaugh, seven great grandchildren, Elijah, Ava, Maya, Emmett, Wyatt, Kenzie, and Garrett, a brother, John Allsopp of Weirton, WV, two nieces, Luanne and Sandy Jo and three nephews, Lenny Jeff, and Greg.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 1:00-3:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 10:00 until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717, with Pastor Penny Calmbacher, officiating.

Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV.
