Carl "Peanut" James  Bailey
Carl James “Peanuts” Bailey, 84, of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 12:26 PM on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV.

Carl was born on June 4, 1932 in Wintersville, OH. He was the son of the late Carl and Irene (Moran) Bailey.

Carl served his country on the front lines of the Korean War with the US Army. He retired as a Foreman from Weirton Steel Corp. Carl was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Garibaldi Lodge, Cedar Lodge, and Theta Chi Alpha Fraternity, all of Follansbee, WV and the Wellsburg Moose Lodge. Many will remember Carl for his ability to work with and fix anything, but most of all, his gracious spirit.

Carl is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Betty (DiGennaro) Bailey of Follansbee, WV, four children, Theresa Klaczak of Pittsburgh, PA, Debbie Coletti and her husband, Edward Pearce of Follansbee, WV, Jim Bailey and his wife, Sabrina of Montgomery Village, MD, and Beth Anne Scheetz and her husband, John of Follansbee, WV, five grandchildren, Nicole Baldwin, Matthew Klaczak, James Bailey, and Sarah and Aidan Scheetz, a great grandson, Luke Ryan Gosney, a sister, Connie Clark of Columbus, OH, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM with Theta Chi Alpha Fraternity Service at 7:00 PM and Vigil Service at 7:30 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717, where funeral will commence on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 9:30 AM

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV with Father Thomas R. Gallagher, presiding.

Entombment will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV with Military Honors by the WV Army National Guard and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
