Obituary for Edward Joseph Walker
Edward Joseph Walker, 74, of Weirton, WV, passed away at 10:45 AM on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Valley Haven Geriatric Center, Beech Bottom, WV under the care of the staff and Valley Hospice.
Edward was born on October 12, 1942 in Ronceverte, WV. He was the son of the late Melvin D. and Sylvia (Ramsey) Walker.
Edward served in the Ohio Army National Guard. He retired from Continental Can, Weirton, WV and Carter Lumber, Atlasburg, PA.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his two brothers, Dale and Bill Walker.
Edward is survived by his three children, Edward D. “Rusty” Walker and his wife Barb of Canonsburg, PA, Dale A. Walker of Weirton, WV and Carole F. Cervenak of Weirton, WV, two grandchildren, Ashlee and Joshua Johnson, three great grandchildren, Caleb and Mariah Anderson and Makenna Ballato, a sister, Louise Budash of Atlasburg, PA, two half brothers, Robert Barlow of Wintersville, OH and John Barlow of Weirton, WV, and several nieces and nephews.
A private veteran’s cremation under the direction of James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717.
