Evelyn "Kay"  Kemp (Summers)
Evelyn “Kay” (Summers) Kemp, 75, of Weirton, WV, passed away at 4:59 AM on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH.

Kay was born on September 21, 1941 in Holiday’s Cove Area, Weirton, WV. She was the daughter of the late Ted and Margaret (Eden) Summers.

Kay retired as an Administrative Assistant from Weirton Electric, Weirton, WV. She was a member of the Collier United Methodist Church serving as membership secretary and former church secretary. Over the years, Evelyn was an active member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed bowling.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Kemp, a son, Scott Kemp, a brother, Charles Summers and a sister, Eileen Boniey.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Tracy Ewaskey of Weirton, WV, a daughter-in-law, Jan Kemp of Virginia, three grandchildren, Zachariah and Paige Scopel and Jacob Kemp, two great grandchildren, Rayne and Jakoby “JoeJoe” Scopel, a sister, Martha Birkhimer of Weirton, WV, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717 and again on Monday from 11:30 until time of Funeral Service at 12 Noon at the Colliers United Methodist Church, with Reverend Donald Stilgenbauer, officiating. Following the Service, Kay will be cremated.
