Tillie (Tomaselli) Comisso, 89, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Follansbee, WV passed away at 8:55 PM on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Claremont Retirement Community, Columbus, OH under the care of the staff and St. Joseph Hospice.

Tillie was born on September 2, 1927 in Follansbee, WV. She was the daughter of the late James and Anna (Ventresca) Tomaselli.

Tillie was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV, where for many years she served on the luncheon committee at St. Francis Centre. Many will remember Tillie for working as a Mutuel Clerk at Mountaineer Race Track and Casino and her love of ceramics.

In addition to her parents, Tillie was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Comisso Sr., a brother, Geno Tomaselli and a sister, Lora West.

Tillie is survived by her two sons, William Joseph Comisso Jr. and his wife, Julie of Reno, NV and Gary Paul Comisso and his wife, Lily of Dublin, OH, two grandsons, Michael Comisso and William Joseph “Joey” Comissio III and his wife, Carrie, a great grandson, Jackson, a sister, Lena Chappel of Wierton, WV, and several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 10:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV with Father Thomas R. Gallagher, presiding.

Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV next to her dear husband, William.

Funeral services are under the direction and care of the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717.
