Condolence: Richard Mauro Bucci (my deceased husband) was a member of the Follansbee High School 1956 WV State Baseball Champs and one day we received a letter in 2006 or 2007 asking him to ride in the Follansbee parade with all the other living champions from that team. He was so honored and proud to participate. We always thought Mr. Cuomo helped get everyone together. The letter to participate brought tears to our eyes. Now, on behalf of my husband, who admired Mr. Cuomo so much, a prayer for the family.
Lord,the Honorable Frank Cuomo is gone now from this earthly dwelling and has left behind those who mourn his absence. Grant that we may hold his memory dear. Never bitter for what we have lost. Not in regret for the past, but always in hope of the eternal kingdom where you, Lord, will bring us together again. Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
(For we the living, let us imagine that my husband would greet Mr. Cuomo at the top of those long stairs and walk quietly with him into the light where together they will share the wonders of heavenly places where they, once again, may toss a football and baseball. And, enjoy reminiscing about Follansbee High School sports where they were strong, vibrant and young, good mem.
