Obituary for Darrell Glen Morgan

Darrell Glen  Morgan
Darrell Glen Morgan, 84, of Follansbee, WV, passed away peacefully at 11:50 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born on September 12, 1932 to the late David and Goldie Morgan.

Darrell is preceded in death by his wife, Edith (Geary) Morgan of 58 years.

He was an avid WVU Mountaineer fan. Enjoying many years as a season ticket holder, he was a major part of the blue lot tailgates.

Darrell is survived by his three children, Darrell Morgan Jr. and his wife, Jody of Aiken, SC, Bruce Morgan and his wife, Joyce and Kris Finelli and her companion, Rick Kinney, all of Follansbee, WV, seven grandchildren, Nicole Morgan, Aaron Morgan and his wife, Lindsay, Bryan Morgan and his wife, Desire’, Marissa (Morgan) Coss and her husband, Lance, Stephanie and Stacey Finelli (Jana) and Michael Gurrera, five great grandchildren, Kelsee Sapp, Bryson Morgan, Peyton Morgan and Mckinley Morgan, Emma Krzywdik and (expecting in January, Eden Morgan aka Baby Edie), a sister, Jane (Morgan) Geary of New Hampshire and a brother, Howard Morgan of Florida, and many nieces and nephews.

Upon his wishes, Darrell was cremated.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 10:00 AM until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at the Follansbee United Methodist Church, 1002 Virginia Ave, Follansbee, WV.

Entombment will be held privately at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Follansbee United Methodist Church to help rebuild their parish hall that was severely damaged in the flash flooding of 2016. Donations can be mailed to Follansbee United Methodist Church, 1002 Virginia Ave, Follansbee, WV 26037.
