Obituary for Vincent Joseph Bologna
Vincent Joseph Bologna, 90, of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 8:35 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at his residence.
Vincent was born on September 9, 1926 in Penowa, PA. He was the son of Gesido and Assunta (Tulle) Bologna.
Vincent was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV. He worked at Bologna Coal and Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse, Burgettstown, PA. Vincent served proudly in the United States Navy Reserve. Most of all, Vincent enjoyed spending time with his family, especially all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Vincent was preceded in death by a great grandson, Troy, two brothers, Joseph and Anthony “Tony” Bologna and a sister, Rose Marie “Honey” Friday.
Vincent is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn R. (Rotellini) Bologna of Follansbee, WV, two children, Joseph “Joe” (Maggie) Bologna of Burgettstown, PA and Josie (Ralph) Urso of Colliers, WV, nine grandchildren, Loriann Voss, Joseph Bologna, Vincent (Kylee) Bologna, Christina (Tom) Agzigian, Ashlee Henry, Frank (Holly) Urso, Vincent (Fiancée Darlene) Urso, Randy Urso, and Lori Ujvari, 12 great grandchildren, Tiffany, Brianna, Luciano, Gabriella, Maleena, Emilee, Austin, Luke, Evan, Lauren, Kristen, and Kelsey, two brothers, Lou and Raymond Bologna, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 7:30 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717, where funeral will commence on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 9:30 AM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1017 Jefferson Street, Follansbee, WV with Father Thomas R. Gallagher, presiding.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Avella, PA with military honors by the United States Navy and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
