Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Magdalene "Mac" Barnes can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Dear Damien, my name is probably not familiar to you, but I am one of your cousins from California. My dad was the oldest of the Barnes boys, Charlie. We moved here from West Virginia in 1953 when I was 5 and only returned for a few summer visits. Unfortunately we didn't get to know you but we knew about you.We have very fond memories of both your mom and dad both from our days in West Virginia and during our brief summer visits. They were very special people. Please accept our sincere condolences in the loss of your dear mother. You are in our prayers.

Condolence: I had the pleasure of knowing "Aunt Mac" for many years as Monica and I would go visit. She was always so kind and she loved her family, both two and four legged. She will be remembered with kindness and thankfulness for what she did for all animals. To her family, my sincere condolences for the sadness you are feeling. I hold you all dear in my heart now and always.

Condolence: I can't express the sadness I feel with Mac's passing. She has been my friend for 45 years. I know she is in a better place, with her beloved Rich, her brother, and sister, and all the animals she has saved over her many years. She was such an inspiration to me. I was always an animal lover but could never compare to Mac's passion. As I visited her at Welty, I saw her slipping away, and would leave crying. As I pet our service dog, Amber, I will cherish the memories and time I was able to spend with her, which was always my pleasure. The Brooke County Animal Shelter and our current laws are Mac's love. RIP.
