Louis "Lou"  Fadlem Jr.
Louis “Lou” Fadlem Jr., 86, of Follansbee, WV, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 at his residence.

Lou was born on July 4, 1930 in Follansbee, WV. He was the son of the late Louis Sr. and Mary (Ola) Fadlem.

Lou served in the United States Army during the Korean War receiving a purple heart and a combat infantry badge. He was baptized Catholic by denomination of faith. Lou retired in 1992 from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as a painter. Many will remember Lou for being a member of the VFW, American Legion and the former Eagles of Follansbee, WV; but most of all his participation in the funeral details and parades of the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.

Lou is survived by his two sisters, Julie Carr-Rocchio and her husband, Harry of Colliers, WV, and Mary Jane Degenhardt of Rayland, OH, two nieces, a nephew, and several great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 PM and again on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 9:30 until Liturgy of the Word at 10:00 AM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717, with Father Thomas Gallagher, presiding.

Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Colliers, WV, with Military Honors by the WV Army National Guard and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
