Dolores L. Farber, 88, of Wellsburg, WV, formerly of Albion, Ind., passed away at 4:37 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 at Valley Haven Geriatric Center, Wellsburg, W.Va.

Dolores was born on October 19, 1928 in Langloth, PA. She was the daughter of the late William S. and Florence (McLain) Strowmatt.

Dolores was raised in Pennsylvania and moved in 1967 to Indiana. She has resided since then in Noble Township until moving to West Virginia in 2000 after her husband passed. Dolores completed her formal education in 11 different schools in Pennsylvania. On June 16, 1969 she married Lewis W. Farber in Columbia City, Ind. She had worked for 22 years at Dana Corporation. Dolores had been a member of #65 Order of the Eastern Star, Columbia City.

In adidition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Dolores Winnette Buzza, a step-son, Richard Farber, a step-daughter, Cinda Cox, a brother, William Strowmatt, a granddaughter, Erin Dillon and three step-grandchildren.

Dolores is survived her son, G. Douglas Dillon and his wife, Dolores, of Colliers, W.V., a grandson, Douglas (Melissa) Dillon, two granddaughters, Stephanie Buzza and Nicholet (Jay) Mahen, five great-grandchildren, step-daughters, Karen (Tom) Gust, Julia (Craig) Fanson and Venia (Mark Bassett) Geiger, all of Columbia City, ID, 12 step-grandchildren, 22 step-great-grandchildren, two great-great-step-grandchildren, a brother, David Strowmatt, of PA, two sisters, Doris McElhaney, of Pennsylvania and Mary Jo Dillon, of Wellsburg, WV.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717.

She will be laid to rest with her husband at Oswego Cemetery. A graveside service is pending under the direction and care of DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home,Columbia City, IN.
