Obituary for Harry James Burns

Harry James Burns, 74, of Weirton, WV, was called home to family and his Lord Jesus Christ at 3:45 AM on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Valley Haven Geriatric Center, Beech Bottom, WV, under the care of the Staff and Amedisys Hospice.

Harry was born on March 26, 1943 in Weirton, WV. He was the son of the late Joseph Burns and Gussie (Hawkins) Burns Gordon.

He was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse, Weirton, WV and retired from Weirton Steel.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Burns, a step-son, Stephen Williams.

Harry is survived by his sister, Liza Burns of Follansbee, WV, a niece and nephews and many relatives

Harry will be cremated under the direction and care of the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717 and later be interred at Paris Cemetery, Paris, PA.
