Condolences

Condolence From: Suzanne Heslewood
Condolence: Sydma, I can't explain why exactly but for some reason you have been on my mind lately. It has been a long time since Salem College. Looking you up in an internet search brought me to news of your husband's death. I know this is very belated but I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You were one of my favorite instructors at Salem and are a very special person. I hope and pray that you are doing better. Suzanne

Condolence: Losing Gray is such a very great loss...to everyone, but most of all to you, Sydma. Gray was life and light...always leaving a smile. I wish I had magic words to ease the pain, but, of course, I don't. Just please know that you and Gray are in our thoughts and prayers. I hope beautiful memories can help sustain you through this difficult time.

Condolence: You were more than my advisor and professor, you were my friend. The first teacher that I had at West Liberty, you told me that if I ever needed anything or that if I ever got into trouble, to call you first. I'll always remember the talks, the shared cigarettes and coffee, the laughs and the wisdom. I had a "poor man's screwdriver," vodka and orange pop, as a tribute to you the other day when I had heard the news. You are one of my biggest influences, not only as a media member, but as your student. You taught me to strive for more, but to stop and smell the flowers along the way. You always saw the positives and I'll never forget that. Rest well, my friend. May our paths cross again some day. Thank you for the lessons and for everything else alongside the way. Thank you for being you.
