Helen Marie (Murray) Orr, 91, of Follansbee, WV, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 20, 2017 at home with her daughters by her side with the assistance of Valley Hospice.

Helen was born June 24, 1926 in Elm Grove, WV, the daughter of Reed and Marie (Kruck) Murray.

Helen was a faithful and dedicated member of the Follansbee Presbyterian Church, where she served as Elder, Deacon, Trustee and Sunday School teacher, as well as a member of the choir and part-time organist. She was also a member of the Presbyterian Women’s Association; the Wellsburg Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star; Women’s Civic League, and the 20th Century Club of Follansbee. She also was an avid quilter and seamstress.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Orr; a grandson, Kevin Richardson; and son-in-law Robert Kunkel.

Helen is survived by her four children, Sharon Richardson and husband Dean; Charles Thomas Orr; Kathryn O. Kunkel; and Jamie Jones and husband Larry, all of Follansbee; six grandchildren, Aaron (Andrea) Richardson of Crafton, PA; Kelley (Michael) Mills of Boardman, OH; Glenn Kunkel of Louisville, KY; Timothy Kunkel and fiancé Katt Thong of Phoenix, AZ; Bethany (Steve) Elgin of Simpsonville, SC; and Stacie Jones and her fiancee' Tom Rowan of Weirton, WV;13 great grandchildren, Susan, Reed, Norah, Eli and Levi Richardson, Emma and Michael Mills, Liliana, Isabella, and Mattis Robert Kunkel, Logan Coldren, and Alivia and McKinlee Elgin.

Family and friends will be received Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 10AM until time of service at 12 noon at the Follansbee Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Follansbee, with Pastor Frank Haas, officiating.

Interment will follow in West Alexander Cemetery next to her husband, Thomas.
