Beverly Jean Smith, 91, of Cincinnati, formerly of Follansbee, WV, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, Triple Creek Retirement Community, Cincinnati, OH.

Beverly was born on August 15, 1926 in Follansbee, WV. She was the daughter of James Henry and Nancy (Brown) Waugh.

Beverly was a member of the Follansbee First Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Smith and daughter, Barbara Jean Brady, six brothers, Albert, Leroy, Earl, Carl, Elwood, and Stanley Waugh an d a sister, Wanda Waugh.

Beverly is survived by her two daughters, Linda Strunk of Cincinnati, OH and Carol Wilson of Georgetown, OH, five grandchildren, Michael Eugene Dotson Jr. of Follansbee, WV, Kelly Sue (Mark) vanLeeuwen, all of Follansbee, WV, Melissa Ann (Clifford) Wikle of St. Albans, WV, Crystal (Jeremy) Purdin of Georgetown, OH, and Donald Brady of Wellsburg, WV, nine great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter, Amber, a sister, Ruth Elizabeth Ross of Toronto, OH and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, October 6, 2017 5:00-7:00 PM and again on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717, with Pastor Brian Ortmann, officiating.

Interment will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV.
