Bessie L. (Burton)  Eddy
Bessie L. (Burton) Eddy, 95, of Follansbee, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, PA.

Bessie was born on July 31, 1922 in Follansbee, WV. She was the daughter of the late William N. and Florence (Rhoades) Burton.

Bessie was a member of the Follansbee United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and former employee of the Citizens Bank of Follansbee, Wesbanco Bank and the former Follansbee Review.

In addition to her parents, Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Harry B. Eddy in 1971, a son, Harry Bernard Eddy Jr. in 2002, a great grandson, Troy Perkins Jr. in 1992, and an infant son in 1946, three sisters, Beulah Campbell, Arline Linger and Jean Armstrong, two brothers, Sam and Francis Burton.

Bessie is survived by her son, David Eddy of Verona, PA a daughter, Patricia Foust and her husband, Phillip of Randleman, NC, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 10 AM until time of Funeral Service at 12 Noon at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 with Pastor Penny Calmbacher, officiating.

Interment will be held privately at Locust Hill, Chester, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Follansbee United Methodist Church, Flood Relief Fund, 1002 Virginia Ave, Follansbee, WV 26037
