Helen (Palizzi)   Oxier
Helen Santa (Palizzi) Oxier, 81, of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 4:24 PM on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV.

Helen was born on December 10, 1936 in Follansbee, WV. She was the daughter Camilla and Mary (Antrilli) Palizzi.

Helen was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV. She worked for 25 years at the former Mammoth Plastic and Gen Pak, Wellsburg, WV. Helen retired as a cashier at Riesbeck, Follansbee. Many will remember Helen for her enjoyment of making homemade wine and shopping for bargain at the Thrift Store; but most of all, for the love she had for family.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Day Oxier, a son, William Oxier, a brother, Nick Palizzi.

Helen was is survived by her daughter, Lorraine (Allen Roger) Negri of Follansbee, WV, two granddaughters, Ash Leigh Negri of Follansbee, WV and Macey Negri of Mingo Junction, OH, three sisters, Rita Colantonio of Maryland, Rosie Barchiesi of Follansbee, WV and Anna (Jack) Dugan of Steubenville, OH, a brother, Anthony (Peggy) Palizzi and several nieces and nephews and her dear cat, Tommy Boy.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717, where funeral will commence on Saturday at 8:00 AM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV, with Father Dan Pisano, presiding.

Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV.
