Mary (Paesani) Gasparine, 90, of Follansbee, WV, died at 11:20 AM on Monday, April 30, 2018 at MaryAnn Manor, Follansbee, WV, under the care of the dedicated staff with the assistance of Amedisys Hospice.

Mary was born on May 17, 1927 in Follansbee, WV. She was the daughter of the late Andrea and Anna (Mattanera) Paesani.

Mary was a devout and dedicated member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV, where she made a joyful noise unto the Lord as a member of the choir. When not attending church, Mary loved to crochet blankets and cook for family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James “Bo” Gasparine, a granddaughter, Angela Dobbs, and two sisters, Elizabeth Gaudio and Philomena Prosperi.

Mary is survived by her three sons, Jim Gasparine and his wife, Glenda of New Albany, IN, Tom Gasparine and his wife, Tina of Follansbee, WV, and Ron Gasparine of Cross Creek, WV, three grandchildren, Jenna Stumpfle and her husband, Bob, Jimmy Gasparine and his wife, Bethani, and Kylee Secrist and her husband, Matt, three great grandchildren, Grace Gasparine, Ashley Dobbs, and Matthew Secrist, and a great great granddaughter, Sophia Dobbs, two sisters, Rose Zende of Wintersville, OH and Dora Gates of Florida, two brothers, Silvio Paesani of Follansbee, WV and Andrew “ Jr” Paesani of Wheeling, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 PM and again on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 11:00 AM until time of Liturgy of the Word at 12 Noon at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717 with Father Cody Ford, presiding. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV.
