Anna Pauline (Henthorn) Butler, 90 of Wellsburg, passed away at 9:15 PM on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Ann’s Country Retreat, Wellsburg, WV, under the care of the dedicated staff and Amedisys Hospice.

Anna was born on August 5, 1928 in Wellsburg, WV. She was the daughter of the late Homer Sr. and Virginia (Lombard) Henthorn.

Anna was a member of the Church of Christ, Charles Street, Wellsburg. She retired after 25 years of service at G. C. Murphy Company.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Butler, a brother, John Henthorn and a sister, Beatrice Spencer

Anna is survived by her two children, Larry Butler and his wife, Shirley of Baytown, TX and Debbie Hicks and her husband, Ron of Wellsburg, WV, five grandchildren, Sherry Murphy and her husband, Clint of Houston, TX, Mary Butler and her fiancé, Aaron George and Brian Butler , all of Lake Charles, LA and Jessica Harris and her husband, Chris of Morgantown, WV and Dr. Justin Hicks and his fiancé, Dr. Marty Antony of Elmira, NY, three great grandchildren, Kelsey and Chloe Harris and Kingston George, two siblings, Homer Henthorn Jr. and his wife, Doris of Wellsburg, WV and Shirley Graham and Edward of Melbourne, FL and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 16, 2018 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 10:00 until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551.

Interment will be held at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV.
