Mrs. Welsh and Mr. Welsh became my landlords in 1987, and I quickly came to love them like family. Frances will always be "Mrs. Welsh" to me because of the utmost respect I had for her. Anyone who met her could readily see the kind heart behind that soft voice. And I must say, anyone who ate her cooking knew she could make incredible meals. I loved her stew and was honored when she and Mr. Welsh would invite me to dinner. I felt at home when I was in their kitchen and I felt loved when I was in their presence. I remember sitting on their back deck and sharing stories. I thought they were the best people ever and often thought about how wonderful they must've been as parents. I am so saddened by the loss of my two friends, who were like parents to me. I will never forget you, Mr. and Mrs. Welsh.
