Frances (Puskarich) Welsh, 97 of Follansbee, WV, passed away at on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Woodland Hills Assisted Living, Weirton, WV under the care of the staff and Valley Hospice.

Frances was born on June 18, 1921 in Ellsworth, PA. She was the daughter of Charles and Francis (Ivanac) Puskarich.

Frances was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV. She worked at the family store, Welsh’s Grocery and Confection on Eldersville Road, in addition to working at Convenient Food Mart, Follansbee, in later years. Many will remember Frances for being a dedicated volunteer through R.E.A.C.H.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Charles Welsh, a granddaughter, Christy Johnson Riccelli, and seven siblings, Mary Borich, Ann Resnik, Thomas, Steve, Joseph, John and George Puskarich.

Frances is survived by her three children, Daniel Welsh and his wife, Pam of Follansbee, WV, Sandy Johnson and her husband, Dave of Colliers, WV and Donna Hall and her husband, Bob of Follansbee, WV, five grandchildren, David Johnson of Livonia, MI, Michael Hall and his fiancé, Nicole Loar of Follansbee, WV, Amy Shaffer and her husband, Jack of Wellsburg, WV, Brian Welsh and his wife, Carri of Follansbee, WV, and Adam Welsh and his wife, Olivia of Weirton, WV, six great grandchildren, Ainsley, Colton, Jake, Jena, Onna and Adalynne, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717, where funeral will commence on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 9:00 AM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 9:30 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1017 Jefferson Street, Follansbee, WV, with Father Cody Ford, presiding.

Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV next to her dear husband, Charles.
