Sharon Ann (Bowman) Boreman, 72, of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 10:41 A.M. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at her residence under the care of her husband and family with the assistance of Valley Hospice.

Sharon was born on July 16, 1946 in Wheeling, WV. She was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Dunn) Bowman.

Sharon was a 1964 graduate of Follansbee High School and went on to Paralegal School and Home Economics at Jefferson Community College. She began her career working with Attorney William Watson. Sharon worked for many years as a Secretary for Brightwood in the Home Health Department with Jack McCoy and was the donut maker at Sunshine Bakery, Follansbee, WV. Many will remember Sharon for her love of making crafts from Santa Clause to wreaths, baking cakes for weddings and birthdays and sewing uniforms for the Catholic Church, but most of all for the love of her family.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 51 years, Tom Boreman of Follansbee, WV, three children, Thomas Boreman II and his wife, Nina of Weirton, WV, Mark Sterling and his fiancé, Patty Volkwein of Mingo Junction, OH, and Kelly McQuillian and her husband, Rick of Follansbee, WV, three grandchildren, Thomas Boreman III and his wife, Lauren, Johnathon Boreman, and Lacey Miller and her husband, Cody, five great grandchildren, Nick, Abby, Jenelle, Eli and Weston, a brother, Stewart “Butch” Bowman and his wife, Lori of Follansbee, WV, two nieces and a nephew and step nieces and nephews including special niece, Debbie Stevens.

Family and Friends will be received on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 3:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 6:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 with Pastor William A. Helsel, Jr. of the Hooverson Heights Church of Christ, officiating. Following the service, Sharon will be cremated and will be taken home to remain with her loving husband forever.
