Evelyn Bernadine (Roberts) Riggle England, 86, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at 1:27 AM on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV.
Evelyn was born on November 22, 1931 in Colliers, WV. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lucille (Mozingo) Roberts.
Evelyn loved antiques and created Evelyn’s Flea Market in Bavington, PA. In addition to the flea market and the antiques Evelyn loved attending Christmas in the Village, Eldersville, PA with her friends and family to sell all her Christmas crafts. Evelyn was a devoted mother and her greatest love was her time spent with family. She enjoyed gardening, painting, and was an excellent seamstress.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husbands, James Riggle and Frank England, a grandson, Richie and three brothers, Clarence “Red”, Ralph, and Richard “Dick” Roberts.
Evelyn is survived by her eight children, James Riggle and his wife, Linda of Steubenville, OH, Janice Riggle of London, OH, Robert Riggle and his wife, Leslie of Omak, WA, Becky Petka and her husband, Philip of Cross Creek, PA, Marshall “Kurt” Riggle of Wellsburg, WV, Marsha “Annie” Ivanac of Eldersville, PA, Colleen Choff and her husband, Phillip of Burgettstown, PA, and Jeanne Pietropola of Slippery Rock, PA, 20 grandchildren, Natalie, Bethany, Zachary, Jeremiah, Jessie, Rachel, Caleb, Matthew, Kelley, Mark, Cory, Courtney, Jamie, Jerry, Lindsay, Phillip, James, Olivia, David and Dominic, 24 Great Grandchildren, a brother, Thomas “Tom” Roberts and his wife, Elfe of Eldersville, PA and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Friday, September 28, 2018 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 with Elder Eugene Chadwell, officiating of Community Christ, Follansbee, WV.
Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Colliers, WV.
