Obituary for Robert Howard "Bob" Rouse
Robert “Bob” Howard Rouse, 85, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at 5:05 PM on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA
Bob was born on September 3, 1930 in Wellsburg, WV. He was the son of the late Morgan and Inez (Waugh) Rouse.
Bob was a graduate of Wellsburg High School. He worked as a crane operator at Weirton Steel. Bob attended the Wellsburg 1st Church of God. Many will remember Bob for playing semi pro baseball and his love for fishing in Canada, Florida, and WV. Bob got great joy in sharing his love of baseball and fishing with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Jayne Rouse, a grandson, Matthew Gilham, a son-in-law, Joseph Rogers, a sister Hazel Leona Bland, a brother and sister-in-law, William and Dorothy Rouse.
Bob is survived by his three daughters, Marsha (Mike) Harvey of Wellsburg, Wanda Rouse Gilham and Brenda Rogers (John Fardella), all of Chattanooga, TN, five grandchildren, Eric (Lia) Harvey, Jesse (Julie) Harvey, Kylin (Matt) McCardle, Nathan Rogers, and Marlene (Adam) Bomar, six great grandchildren, Payton, Brenan, Jaxson Harvey, Talon & Madden Rogers, Ella Bomar, a brother, Clarence Rouse and his wife, Annabell of Wellsburg, WV, several nieces and nephews and his buddies, Coco and Pebbles.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 11:00 until time of Funeral Service at 12 Noon at the Wellsburg 1st Church of God, 500 Bethany Pike, Wellsburg, WV, with Pastor Jim Seabright, officiating.
Services under the direction and care of the Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main Street, Wellsburg, WV (304) 737-3551.
Interment will be held privately at Parkview Memorial Gardens, Wheeling, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wellsburg 1st Church of God, 500 Bethany Pike, Wellsburg, WV.
