The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mario DiPaolo can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

My friend in the 1980s

I lived in Alexandria VA in the late 1980s. Mario became an instant friend after attending my antique quilt exhibit in Alexandria. We went with artist friend Enzo Cini to the Helen Hayes Awards dinner at Kennedy Center. II met Senator Ted Kennedy through Mario. We watched the Watergate hearings together each day one summer.I lost touch but oddly we lived at the same places but didnt know it. I lived on Cape Cod but did not know Mario did as well until I moved to Florida. I moved to Connecticut in 2005 and wondered where Mario was living. Tonight I found his obituary . I could have visited him in West Hartford all these years. I miss him so much. A great man. Full of love and kindness and so very worldly. If only I I could have seen him since 1989.
