Obituary for Jeffrey Ryan Ferda

Jeffrey Ryan Ferda, 25 of Fall River, MA, recently of Wellsburg, WV, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 11, 2016 at his residence in Fall River, MA.

Jeff was born on June 2, 1991 in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of William “Bill” Sr. and Cynthia “Cindy” (Dalanno) Ferda of Wellsburg, WV.

Jeff graduated from Brooke High School in 2009 and a West Liberty University graduate with a Bachelor in Elementary Education Major and a minor in Special Education with Autism. He worked at Robert J. Devereaux Corporation. Jeff was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing and kayaking; but most of all he was a die-hard Duke fan.

Jeff was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Ferda and Vincent “Fishie” Dalanno, two uncles, John Ferda and Craig Dalanno, who was also his Godfather, and a cousin, Sophia Dalanno.

In addition to his parents, Jeff is survived by his devoted brother, William “Will” Ferda Jr. of Moundsville, WV, grandmothers, Betty (Elson) Ferda of Wellsburg, WV and Barbara (Gibson) Dalanno of Steubenville, OH, several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and faithful furry companion, Butkis.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 3:00-7:00 PM and again on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 10:00 until time of Liturgy of the Word 11:00 AM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304) 737-3551, with Father Dan Pisano, presiding.

Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, near his “Pap” Ferda.
