Obituary for Catherine Misch Donley
Catherine Rose (Misch) Donley, 87, of Wellsburg, passed away peacefully at 9:30 AM on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Wyngate, Weirton, WV, under the care of the staff and Valley Hospice.
Catherine was born on September 7, 1929 in Wheeling, WV. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Rose (Stock) Misch.
Catherine was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Wellsburg, WV. She loved to sew, crotchet, clean and shop: but most of all, enjoyed every moment of every dessert.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Donley, a daughter, Sherrene Donley Straka, two grandsons, Derek Eisenhauer and Joshua Donley, three brothers, Henry, John, and Frank Misch, two sisters, Helen Irvin and Elizabeth Legg.
Catherine is survived by her two daughters, Janet Barnett and her husband, Edward of Charleston, WV and Mary Ann Eisenhauer and her husband, Jay of Bethany, WV, a son, Douglas Donley and his wife, Janice of Ravenna, OH, a son-in-law, Fred Straka of Weirton, WV, three grandchildren, James (April) Barnett of Charleston, WV, Jennifer (Micah) Knisley of Follansbee, WV, and Matt (Kari) Barnett of Cross Lanes, WV, four great grandchildren, Hunter and Caden Knisley, and Ashton and Madison Barnett, a sister, Virginia Bowman of Beech Bottom, WV and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304) 737-3551, with Reverend Phil Van Dam, officiating.
Interment will follow next to her dear husband of 62 years, Edward at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV.
