Obituary for Robert Keith Johns

R. Keith Johns, 63, of Colliers, WV, passed away at 8:37 AM on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his residence under the care of the family and Valley Hospice.

Robert Keith was born on January 27, 1952 in Weston, WV. He was the son of Joetta (Posey) Johns of Weirton, WV and the late Harold Johns.

Keith retired from Weirton Steel Corporation and went on to work for Horizon Transportation for 10 years. He received an award for having a million miles accident free. Keith was a veteran serving in the United States Army. Many will remember Keith for his love of boating on the river and riding quads with his son, but most of all for his dedication to his family.

In addition to his father, Keith was preceded in death by a father-in-law, Robert “Tim” Wilkerson, a sister-in-law, Debra Jo Fuscardo, and a great niece.

In addition to his mother, Keith is survived by his loving wife, Carley (Wilkerson) Johns of Colliers, WV, a son Aaron Johns and his fiancé, Ashley Wiggins, of Follansbee, WV, a sister, Terri (Terry) O'Brien of Weirton, WV, two nieces, Meghan and Molly O'Brien of Weirton, WV, a nephew, T.J. (P.J.) Fuscardo of Wellsburg, WV, two great nephews, a mother-in-law, Benita (DeSantis) Wilkerson of Follansbee, WV and a faithful dog, Harlow.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, 1245 Main Street, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717.
A private burial will be held at St. John Cemetery with Military Honors by the WV Army National Guard and Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
