Obituary for Maryann Kokos (Wargo)
Maryann (Wargo) Kokos, 73, of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 11:30 PM on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH.
Maryann was born on May 17, 1941 in Follansbee, WV. She was the daughter of the late George & Helen (Tender) Wargo.
Maryann was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and pets, but most of all, her children and grandchildren. Many will remember, Maryann for making sure every detail in life surrounded her family.
In addition to her parents, Maryann was preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Jencko Kokos.
Maryann is survived by her five children, George G. Kokos of Follansbee, WV, Cindy (Carl) Lucas of Steubenville, OH, Tina Carbasho of Steubenville, OH, Shawn Kokos of Follansbee, WV, and Kristal (Greg) Singleton of Mingo Junction, OH, six grandchildren, George G. (Martha) Kokos Jr., Sharilyn (Joe) Rocco, Kirk Furioli, Francis Carbasho, Gregory Singleton and Carrie Lucas, five great grandchildren, George G. Kokos III, Lyric Kokos, Joey Rocco, Antonio Carbasho, and Dalton Carbasho, a sister, Helen Lamone of Columbus, OH and a niece, Lori (Herald) Brown, of Columbus, OH.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, 1245 Main Street, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717, where funeral will commence on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 9:30 AM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 10:00 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1017 Jefferson Street, Follansbee, WV, with Father Tony Thurston, celebrating.
Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV.
