Obituary for Anita Jenkins
Anita (Ruiz) Jenkins, 81, of Weirton, WV, passed away at 7:30 PM on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at her residence.
Anita was born on September 26, 1935 in Weirton, WV. She was the daughter of the late Angelo and Teresa (Gascow) Ruiz.
She was a faithful and devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church, Weirton, WV where she served as a Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Women’s group.
In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert Dale Jenkins, who passed away on December 18, 2010, two sons, Bernard Scott Jenkins and Robert Duane Jenkins and several brothers and sisters.
Anita is survived by four brothers-in-law, Craig Jenkins and his companion, Dawn Harman and Rick Jenkins, all of Weirton, WV, Ron Dadena of Illinois, and O.R. Posey of Roanoke, WV, two sisters-in-law, Donna Ruiz of Weirton, WV and Anna Marie of Spain, six grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a nephew and caregiver, Andy Jenkins and two nieces.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 11:00 AM until time of Service at 1:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church, 2682 Wylie Ridge Road, Weirton, WV with Pastor Len Peeler, officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton, WV.
Funeral Services under the direction and care of the James Funeral Home, 1245 Main Street, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717.
