The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of George Balog Jr. can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Mr. Balog was a great leader and mentor during my time with the Boy Scouts. To this day, I still remember all the fun times at St. Anthony's School, where we had meetings and the one week every Summer that was always a highlight, Summer Camp. Mr. Balog was always understanding and supportive of all of the Scouts and without him I would never had the opportunities he provided as our Scout Leader. I am very sadden to hear about his passing and wish his family well in this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Condolence: Mr. Balog was a huge part of my development as a teen. The lessons learned through Scouts were invaluable. The 1st day of scouting you generally get your Scout Badge. Next is your Tenderfoot Badge (an easy achievement). Tenderfoot is where I stayed for 2 years. Mr Balog understood this is where I needed to be. He knew I was ready advance and he gave a push in the right direction. Although, I moved away and finished my Scouting with another troop, I've always considered myself one of his Eagle Scouts as well. The world is a bit sadder today with this loss.
May the Angles carry him gently and swiftly to the gates of paradise.
