Betty Jane (Dimmit) Cribbs, 90, of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 5:10 AM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Sienna Woods, Wintersville, OH, under the care of the staff and Charity Hospice.

Betty was born on May 7, 1927 in Follansbee, WV. She was the daughter of the late William B. and Myrtle L. (James) Dimmit.

Betty was a faithful and devoted member of Hooverson Heights Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School and was a missionary. She volunteer at the library to teach in the Adult Literacy Program. Betty was proud to be a homemaker and member of the A.A.R.P.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Cribbs, a daughter, Barbara A. Marroulis, two brothers, William (Mary Ann) and Howard Dimmitt.

Betty is survived by her three children, William A. Cribbs of Apopka, FL, Jane A. (Paul) Fundersol of Wintersville, OH, and Lee A. Merrill of Tuscarawas, OH, a son-in-law, Bill Marroulis, 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Jean Dimmitt, several nieces and nephews and close friends, Pastor Earl (Gina) Bailey and Becky (Bob) Gooch.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 again on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the Hooverson Heights Church of Christ, with George E. Henry and Earl Bailey, officiating.

Interment will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV.
