Obituary for Jacob Johnston

Jacob  Johnston
Jacob Johnston, 22, of Pittsburgh, PA, suddenly and tragically died on September 25, 2017 in Pittsburgh, PA.

Jacob was born on November 17, 1994. He was the son of Heather (Brown) Menning and her fiancé, Danny Cook of Little River, SC and Richard Johnston and his wife, Gloria of Mt. Lebanon, PA.

Jacob was taking CNA class and dream of being a nurse someday. Many will remember Jacob for his love of video games and read; but most of all for being a hero. Jacob was a hero through bring a organ donor. Jacob personally lives on in the lives of five others that received vital life sustaining organs and countless others through tissue donation to enhance their lives. John 15:13 says, “Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends”. Jacob will be missed in a deep way but his family knows life has changed not ended.

Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, David and Mary Brown and paternal grandfather, Richard Johnston.

In addition to his parents and step-parents, Jacob is survived by his three siblings, Nicole Johnston of Wilmington, NC, Shelby Menning and Caleb Lawrence, all of Little River, SC, paternal grandmother and countless aunts, cousins, and friends.

Private Graveside Service will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV, where he will be interred on his grandmother's plot so he can lay in her arms eternally.
