The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jack Skidmore Sr. can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

1953 - 2016

Jack and I first met at the Curve Restaurant boxing ring in Glenmore Community near Elkins where we grew up together.  Throughtout the years, we share many life experiences together which included everything from high school sports, rock and roll shows, WVU football games, and selling Lyle's All Purpose Soap from Florida to Long Island, NY.  Jack had a heart of pure gold but also had a very quick temper.  We stayed in touch throughout our life until as recently as last Fall in Weirton.  I stopped by his barber shop to see him and we shared a wonderful time reminiscing about life over a nice barbeque dinner at a nearby restaurant.  We shared many stories about our many experiences together with friends during our lifetime.  More importantly, we shard our belief in God and how we had been blessed throughtout our life.  Jack will be true child of God and will be an angel for all times.  May you rest in peace.  You will be missed on earth by all who knew you, but you will also be an asset to God's kingdom.  Love you old buddy and will miss you until we meet again.
